As the festive season approaches, the spirit of giving becomes even more pronounced. This Christmas, consider spreading warmth and joy in a simple yet impactful way – by donating socks to those in need.
If you would like to donate you can explore local shelters, community centers, or charitable organisations that accept clothing donations, and contribute to keeping feet warm and cosy this winter.
We will be making a donation to Monocle and local charities this season to advocate for a better society. The gift of giving socks.
Our commitment to sustainability and working towards a greater future inspired us to donate a parcel of socks that will be auctioned in a raffle on Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 December.
The charity event will take place nearby The Monocle Cafe.
The proceeds will be going to a chosen charity 'The Committee to Protect Journalists'
"The Committee to Protect Journalists is an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes press freedom worldwide. We defend the right of journalists to report the news safely and without fear of reprisal". source
There are many charities that you can choose to donate to this season including UNICEF, PETA and environmental institutes to improve the wellbeing of people globally.
In many parts of the world, winter brings biting cold temperatures, making warm clothing, especially socks, a precious commodity. Donating socks is not just a practical gift; it's a gesture that provides comfort and protection against the harsh elements.
